Christmas all through the House 2009



Lougheed House and Calgary Design Group are proud to premiere their Christmas fundraising event, Christmas all through the House. Celebrate the Christmas season with a dazzling display of magnificent creations reminiscent of Christmas through the decades since 1890.Lougheed House is hosting Christmas all through the House from Wednesday, November 18 to Sunday, November 22, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Guests will be fascinated by the history, marvel at the breathtaking decor and rejoice in numerous other magical Christmas activities. Admission for adults $15.00, students/seniors $10.00, and children under 12 are FREE.

Experience a Roaring 20's Christmas by designers Dianna Barry, Suzette Toews, and Odessa Mendonca, or sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of a 1942 Christmas Concert by designer Kevin Gray. Celebrate the three wise men from the East in the room themed Stars of the Orient by designer Mickey Foulds, or snuggle up by the fire and enjoy a Cosy Fireside Story Time by designers Janet Farnham and George Martin. Whatever Christmas means to you, join us and celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season at Lougheed House.

Other Christmas activities include a visit from a Victorian Santa, carol singers, pianists and Christmas crafts for children and adults alike. Visit our antique photo studio, watch magnificent ice sculptures being carved, enjoy a festive refreshment, and seasonal shopping atLougheed House's Gift Shop and much more.

All funds raised go towards the restoration and development of Lougheed House, a National Historic Site. Your support means that we can enhance public programs and exhibits, and continue our curriculum based School Programs for children grades one through six.

Built in 1891 and originally known as "Beaulieu" (French meaning "beautiful place"), Lougheed House is a National Historic Site located in the Beltline district of Calgary, Alberta.
